Department of Orthodontics

Vision

At this department students study stages of oral and maxillofacial growing up and development. The department includes all the stages of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the cases of malocclusion.

Mission

The Academic Mission: Graduating a professional dentist able to compete in the labor market.
The Service Mission: Providing distinguished oral and maxillofacial services to the visitors of the department.


• Graduating highly distinguished dentists in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeries. Graduates must have the ability to acquire knowledge and have analytical and critical thinking.
• Enhancing and supporting research in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Services in treatment of oral and maxillofacial surgery are in high quality.
• Providing academic services to the public to identify services of the department and benefit from them.
Services Offered by the Department: 1. Dental extraction. 2. Minor surgeries such as extracting impacted teeth.
3. Major surgeries such as reconstructive surgeries, craniofacial deformity treatment surgeries, accidents and fractures, sebaceous cysts, reconstructive surgeries, infection, oral & maxillofacial abscesses, removal of polyps and malignant tumors.
4. Dental implant: The department has a room for dental implant equipped with three dental units.
