Prof. Faten Abu Taleb, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, attended the closing events of the 1st Conference of University Hospitals at Ain Shams University which was organized by the Supreme Council of University Hospitals in cooperation with Ain Shams University. The conference was attended by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Mohammed Awad Tag Addin, President Advisor for Health and Preventive Affairs; Prof. Mohammed Zain Al-Abedin, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ahmed Taha, President of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR); Prof. Hisham Setait, President of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and the Management of Medical Technology; Prof. Omar Sheriff Omar, Secretary of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals; and Prof. Ahmed Anany, Minister’s Advisor for Health Policies.
  It was as activation for the role played by university hospitals as an integrated system that combines education, scientific research, and training; in addition to providing medical services which distinguishes them from other healthcare institutions in the country. Further, university hospitals aim to achieve a comprehensive health insurance system and enhance integration in the provision of healthcare services to citizens.
