The Department looks forward to being a pioneer one in the field of orthodontics locally and regionally by providing distinguished educational, curative and research services.

Mission

The department aims to prepare graduates who are knowledgeable enough to diagnose the cases of orthodontics. In addition, it aims to prepare researchers and specialists who are excellently qualified in this field able to provide distinctive curative services for patients and students .


1. Prepare outstanding cadres of dentists aware of the academic sciences of Dental Morphology and Oral Biology through specialized academic programs.
2. Continuous development of these programs to cope with the requirements of the modern age.
3. Prepare an outstanding generation of researchers able to do academic and practical research in the field of Oral Biology to help solving social problems.
4. Encourage the culture of quality and to work as a coherent teamwork with distinguished social relationships.


First: Undergraduate Level: Teaching Descriptive Anatomy for the preparatory year and Oral Biology for the first year.
Second: Postgraduate Studies: Teaching Descriptive Anatomy, Oral Biology, and Cytology.
Third: The academic material is presented using the latest modern technological methods and scientific models.
