Students from Faculty of Dentistry at Tanta University have achieved outstanding success at the 15th Egyptian Dental Olympiad, held on the sidelines of the International Dental Conference (IDC26). The team secured first place nationwide in the theoretical team competition, competing against participants from more than 30 Egyptian universities and over 680 students.
   The achievement was made under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain Mahmoud, President of Tanta University, and under leadership and supervision of Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Yasser Al-Makaky, Acting Dean of Faculty of Dentistry.
   The faculty team claimed first place in the nationwide theoretical team competition, which covered all major fields of dentistry, including oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, fixed prosthodontics, periodontology, endodontics, conservative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral biology, and dental materials.
The winning team included:
•    Ahmed Mohammed Farouq Al-Abyad 
•    Ahmed Abdul Rahman Mohammed Abdul Rahman 
•    Sara Ahmed Abdul Sattar Zidan
•    Yomna Hussain Fawzy Al-Hariry 
•    Manar Mahmoud Ahmed Amer 

   In addition to their team victory, faculty students excelled in the individual competitions, secured six placements. 
The results were as follows:
First Place:
•    Oral Biology: Omar Ayman Al-Fares 
•    Dental Materials: Habiba Ahmed Abd Rabbo 
•    Materials Poster Competition: Mawadda Ahmed Awny and Eman Ayman Zayed.
Second Place:
•    Practical Orthodontics: Rana Al-Sayyed Helal 
Third Place:
•    Oral Pathology Poster Competition: Mohamed Youssef Askar 
•    Practical Removable Prosthodontics: Malak Sherif Fouad 
   This achievement reflects the continued support provided by the university and faculty administration for student activities, academic excellence, and competitive achievement. It also highlights the students' knowledge, dedication, determination, and ability to compete successfully with their peers from dental faculties across Egypt.
   It is worth noting that faculty students secured top placements across every category in which they participated, demonstrating the breadth of their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and competitive spirit.
