Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Faten Abu Taleb, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; and Prof. Yasser El-Makaky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Community Service and Environmental Development Department organized an initiative titled “Healthy Smile, Happy Life: The Science of Oral Well-being” on April 28th, 2026. The initiative included awareness sessions on how to maintain oral and dental health for patients visiting the faculty.
   The event was attended by Faculty Dean and the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The awareness session was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Razeq, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology.
   Toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed to all patients attending the faculty clinics. It was also decided to organize visits to other community institutions as part of the initiative.
