As part of its community service role and commitment to promoting health awareness among schoolchildren, Faculty of Dentistry organized a comprehensive awareness campaign on Thursday, October 29th, 2026, for students of Al-Salam Private Language Schools in Tanta. The campaign aimed to promote healthy habits and raise awareness of proper oral and dental care.
   The visit was led, supervised, and attended by Prof. Yasser Al-Makaky, Acting Faculty Dean. It was organized as part of the efforts of Dental Students' Scientific Association of Egypt (DSSA) at Faculty of Dentistry to promote health awareness among different segments of society.
The visit featured a range of educational activities, most notably:
•    Providing simplified demonstrations using dental models to explain the proper technique for brushing teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste.
•    Highlighting the risks of tooth decay and explaining preventive measures.
•    Introducing students to healthy foods that promote dental health and foods that may harm their teeth.
•    Conducting preliminary dental examinations for students and providing them with practical guidance and advice to enhance their health awareness.
   At the conclusion of the visit, the administration of Al-Salam Private Schools in Tanta expressed its sincere gratitude to the faculty, particularly Prof. Yasser Mohamed El-Makaky, and the participating team, for this valuable initiative, which made a significant positive impact on the students.
