Oral Pathology

The department of Oral Pathology looks forward to being a distinguished center academically and professionally in order to provide high-quality services of diagnosis and to prepare outstanding cadres of graduates having the ability to understand and diagnose oral diseases.

1. Preparing distinguished cadres of dentists.
2. Using the latest educational strategies and continuous update for the courses to cope with the vision of the department and the requirements of the labor market.
3. Teaching Malaysian students at the same level and same quality of education provided to Egyptian students.
4. Participating in postgraduate studies for dentists to prepare highly efficient cadres to cope with the international level of dentists.
5. Preparing distinguished cadres in oral pathology at the highest level of diagnosing oral diseases.
6. Participating in continuous teaching for dentists by taking part in conferences, workshops, public lectures and the scientific day of the department.
7. Participating in applying academic plans and providing consults to upgrade the educational process at the faculty and university.
8. Communication with students to face and solve their academic problems.


1-Identifying causes of oral diseases and how they appear.
2- Presenting a list of the most common oral diseases.
3- Understanding and defining the scientific terms related to oral pathology.
4- Linking the clinical manifestations of any disease with the x-ray and its microscopic samples to reach the correct diagnosis and to predict its development.
5- Developing the ability of identifying different oral diseases which have clinical, radiological and microscopic similarities to determine the diagnosis.
6- Developing the microscopic and clinical diagnostic skills.
