1. The main center of attention of the Department is reaching all the milestones of replacement and prevention in dentistry with the same quality and interest in details of adult dentistry.
2. Teaching the students of dentistry the principles of children’s oral healthcare.
3. Training the post-graduate students in the knowledge, principal skills and critical judgement for the complete training of them and the development of pedodontics specialization and oral health.
4. Increasing the awareness about community service and the profession through participating in community awareness activities.
5. Promoting “Disease Prevention” as the corner stone of our curative philosophy.
6. Educating and guiding the child and the parents to accept and practice the oral healthcare in preventive terms.

1. The department carried out renovations, including the department's outpatient clinic, and purchased equipment to develop the educational process for the postgraduate stage.
2. Developing the curricula for undergraduate students in the second and third years, and creating practical workbooks for both years as a guiding manual to assist students.
3. Creating and activating the e-learning curriculum for the third year, with work currently underway for the second year, hosted on the National Center for E-Learning website.
4. Preparing the bylaws for the Professional Master's Degree in Forensic Dentistry.
5. Increasing the number of granted degrees as well as the number of registered students for master's and diploma programs from abroad.
6. Renovating the offices of faculty members and the supporting staff.
